The Study of the United States Institutes (SUSIs) is a program funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Health Benefits: All participants will receive the Department of State’s coverage of $100,000 with a $25 co-pay per medical visit and $75 co-pay per emergency room visit for the duration of the program.  Pre-existing conditions may be covered up to $100,000, subject to policy exclusions and limitations.  COVID-19 is treated like any other illness under the Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges (ASPE) policy. - Yes, U.S will conduct interview for young leaders. Embassy or consulate in Pakistan. These interviews will be in English and can happen in-person or online.

- Yes, SUSI is a multi-country program. Permanent residents in Pakistan who are not Pakistani citizens can apply but need to explain their reason for applying. Temporary residents are not eligible.

- No, applicants with limited prior U.S. experience can still apply. However, priority will be given to those with no previous experience.

- How much money should applicants bring?

- Can students miss parts of the program?
- No, students are expected to participate in all activities.
- What if an applicant is selected as an alternate?
- Also if the initially selected applicant can’t participate, an alternate may be given the opportunity if time allows.
- How much free time will students have during the in-person program?
- While there will be some free time, students must understand that it’s an intensive academic program. They can’t leave the institute or visit relatives or friends. However, occasional visits by relatives may be possible if the schedule permits.
- Can students arrive early or stay after the program ends?
- No, students must follow the program’s schedule and return to their home country after it concludes.
