Benefits of UMY Study in Indonesia
International undergraduate and postgraduate students will get free tuition and free living for one year.
After the first year, free tuition and living allowance will depend on these grades (using a 4.0 scale):
Undergraduate Program:
- If GPA is 3.00 or higher: Free living and free tuition.
- If GPA is between 2.75 and 3.00: 75% discount on tuition.
- If GPA is below 2.75: The scholarship will be taken away.
Masters & Doctoral Program:
- If GPA is 3.50 or higher: Free living and free tuition.
- If GPA is between 3.25 and 3.50: 75% discount on tuition.
- If GPA is between 3.00 and 3.25: 50% discount on tuition.
- If GPA is below 2.75: The scholarship will be taken away.
Monthly living allowance:

- Anyone from any nationality can apply.
- Applicants must meet the following language proficiency scores (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, TOEIC):
- For Undergraduate Students: B1 CEFR level.
- For Masters and Doctoral Students: B2 CEFR level.
- If you are from an English-speaking country, you will receive a waiver for the English proficiency requirement.
- If the mode of instruction for your previous degree was English, you can also get a waiver for the English proficiency requirement.
